Galaxy 9 Productions, co-founded by Robski and Jah Born has afforded me the opportunity to not only grow professionally, it has also allowed me to increase my chosen family. Friend to many in the industry, Satori Ananda introduced me to Robski because they needed someone to manage their social media and help with their marketing. Within a month or so of me joining the team in September of 2017, I had taken on much more than social media and was happy to do so. Simply put, I believe in Rob and Jah’s vision for what Galaxy 9 means and where they wanted to go.

We saw success early, consistently and I attribute that to the prior experiences, resources, skill sets and networks of all of the team members going into the venture, as well as those who have joined the team and subsequently left along the way. Speaking for myself, I can’t think of anyone in the city I knowingly have beef with. It has always been my goal to be a unifying factor in these Dallas music streets and as far as I know, I’ve been an example of that and will continue to be. Because of my role with Galaxy 9 I was able to create, continue and even strengthen bonds that I already had with professionals and artists in the DFDub and no matter what you hear out there, the world still revolves around WHO YOU KNOW!

I was certainly able to level up in the last 2 years and some change, in both my skill set and my network and I will be forever grateful for the experiences. I had the opportunity to open for Sa-Roc the Goddess MC (an absolute fave of mine), I hosted and got to spit on the mic with YoYo and Rah Digga (MIND BLOWN!!!), and I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many legendary and rising artists in the hip hop world that it would be a bit difficult to name then all, and besides that, this isn’t a name dropping post – you can check our IG for that. We have literally had 2 shows a month for over two years and the community knows about us in these streets which is a testament in and of itself of our success. We took Galaxy 9 internationally and produced a show in Edmonton, Candada! We went out there fairly deep and had a ball! We helped to produce a gala and after party for FUBU Mobile, outside of our Saturday Night Fever brand box and it was also a massively success event. I mention those milestones because that is what they are; they are accomplishments worth mentioning as we wrap up this year and as I personally take stock for what I have been blessed to have my hand in.

I’m an artist and as hard as I try to run from the responsibility of fostering creative outlets and connecting people for common purposes and goals in the arts community, here I am lovingly titled “President” of Galaxy 9 Productions. Anyone who knows me understands, I’m not a title girl, I’m a Get Er Done type of woman and while I can’t tell you what the future holds, I can say that I will not soon give up on Mokah Soulfly the artist, because that calling still bellows.
